Description
Tall upright green fronds that are 24-36" long surround the cinnamon stick-like inner fronds which remain throughout the winter.
A North American native fern. Forms an arching mound of large triangular green fronds. In the spring, interesting spore-bearing fronds shoot out from the centre of the clump, turning a rich cinnamon-brown colour. Plants prefer moist woodland conditions, and an acidic soil. Tolerates sun in cool regions. Deciduous.
We have done our best to describe this plant as accurately as possible, however, different climates and growing conditions in different parts of the country will affect height, bloom time, and color.
