Description
Medium sized clump of feathery green leaves with a dense mounding habit.
Lady Ferns were very popular in Victorian times, when hundreds of named selections existed. They form a medium-sized clump of feathery green leaves, with a dense, mounding habit. Plants prefer a woodland setting, but will tolerate sun if given enough moisture. Since the fronds may break easily, choose a site that is out of the wind. An easy fern, with a non-spreading habit. Leaves may be trimmed to the ground in late fall or early spring. Plants are easily divided in spring, every 3-4 years. Deciduous.
We have done our best to describe this plant as accurately as possible, however, different climates and growing conditions in different parts of the country will affect height, bloom time, and color.
