- Steps to replace tip: Using a Phillips (#1) screwdriver, remove each set screw from the soldering iron's two mounting posts by turning counterclockwise
- Remove the old soldering tip from the transformer assembly's mounting posts and fully insert the new soldering tip into the mounting posts
- Carefully tighten the set screws until the soldering tip is held securely. Note: Make sure not to overtighten screws. This could strip the threads in the mounting post
- Soldering tip's prong ends measure 4 mm thick
