Oleander grows well in warm subtropical regions, and because of its showy pink flowers, is extensively used as an ornamental plant in landscapes. It is drought-tolerant and will tolerate occasional light frost. It is commonly used in landscaping in mild-winter states and is easily maintained and tolerant of poor soils. Oleander grows to 618 ft tall, with erect stems that stray outward as they mature.
