Red White and Blue Crate

Published on

Are you feeling the excitement of the upcoming summer holiday? Let’s kick off this project with enthusiasm! Get ready to unleash your creative spark!

Things you will need:

First, determine the pattern you’d like to use for your red, white, and blue color scheme. The simplest approach is to apply one solid color to each side. If you're feeling more creative, you can use masking tape to paint each slat of the crate, creating a striped effect.

We opted for a quick, single-color application: red on two sides, white on the end panels, and blue on the interior.

To speed up the process, we used a large piece of cardboard to shield against any paint overflow. (You can do a spot touch up for any spoilage.)

Keep mason jars readily available, allowing you to spray them simultaneously.

We picked up these foam stars to add some flair to our crate and mason jars. Possibilities are endless! Enjoy the process, and invite your kids to join in. After all, it’s a wonderful opportunity for family bonding time.

Feel free to get creative!

This crate will be perfect for your July 4th picnic and family get together. It can double as a drink station and a silverware caddy. You might even use it as a summer fun bucket, filled with toys, blankets, bug spray, and bubbles for the kids. Consider adding lovely summer flowers to create a patriotic table display. Wishing you a fantastic summer from all of us at Sutherlands!
