Easy Thanksgiving Centerpiece

Published on

If you need a fast idea for a Thanksgiving table centerpiece, Sutherlands is here to offer a cozy touch to your holiday decor. Plus, if you have any leftover chicken wire or burlap from gardening, this is the perfect project to try!

Things you will need to make Thanksgiving Centerpiece:

Here is a tip to get the right size piece that will fit your dining table. Roll out the wire and form a cylinder shape appropriate for your display.

Start trimming the wire and start shaping it into a cornucopia shape to the length you want. Trim off excess wire if it is too long. Fold wire in and taper in the end piece for the smaller part. Don’t worry about wire not laying down smoothly, we will wrap this pretty tight.

We encased the wire in a burlap multiple times, twisting it to form a classic cone shape! To add a touch of charm, we left a small fabric tail. If you prefer a more traditional appearance, you can trim the wire into a more triangular shape.

You can apply glue in between layers to keep them secure.

Let’s jazz up your table. Grab some burlap as a table cloth and let the creativity flow! Dress up your centerpiece cornucopia with Mother Nature's treasures—think pine cones, fluffy pampas grass (and yes, you can totally dye it! (See how), acorns, birch branches, and those quirky green hedge apples for a pop of color! And don’t forget to light it up!

It's a breeze and oh-so-fun! If you’re on the hunt for a new kitchen dining set or some charming home décor, Sutherlands has many rustic and vintage finds just waiting to give your space that one-of-a-kind flair!
