So many ways to can add color to those mini pumpkins. And if you have lots of left over paint, this is also ideal to put it to good use. This project is perfect for little kids too. Let’s get dipp’n!

Things you will need:
- Small pumpkins (preferably with a stem)
- Acrylic craft paint or left over paint in your garage!
- Brush/stir sticks
- Small bowls
- Empty votive holders

We use Sutherlands Acrylic water based craft paint. You can make use of any old paint too. Make sure to get a right bowl size so it can submerge and so that you won’t have to use too much paint. You can add a little water so it won’t be super thick but be careful not to make it runny or it won’t adhere.

Holding the stem, slowly dip them in the bowl of paint. If level of paint is not high enough to get to the height you want, you can tilt the bowl and twirl the pumpkin to the desired line.

Rest them on top of upside down votive candle (note you might want to lay this on newpaper or plastic. Let dry and you can simply put the pumpkin on display.

We like how the dripping looks on the votives, so here is another idea! You can put a tea light or string lights underneath. Or you can display the pumkin alone.
