Hey there, February! Time to stock up on your Valentine candies! Sutherland's has a simple craft that’ll keep the kiddos busy and double as fabulous gifts for teachers and grandparents, or just a fun decor to add color your home! ?✨
Things you will need:
- Clay flower pot
- Glass bowl
- Craft paint (or spray paint)
- Paint brush
- Household glue
- And CANDIES!
It's essential to select a glass jar that is proportionate to your clay pot. The jar's opening should be large enough for you to comfortably fit your hand inside. We found a small bowl at a dollar store, and the 3" clay pot at Sutherland's is a perfect fit.
You can either paint or spray paint all around the outside and underneath the pot. Since you will flip this down, it is not necessary to paint the inside. You can do all sorts of patterns and designs. Let the kids have fun with it.
Once dry, apply household glue (best to use one that will dry clear) and attach the glass bowl.
We topped it off with a cute little bow at the bottom and a love note ! You can even tie the bow around the pot's rim—just make sure your sweet message doesn’t get hidden! This makes a fabulous Valentine’s gift! Fill it up with their favorite candies to sweeten the deal!
