The front of a house says a lot about its owner. A traditionalist, minimalist, modern styling. A simple transformation using paint can give your home curb appeal a brand new look.

Things you will need:
- Exterior paint (semi-gloss)
- Rust-oleum door paint or Metal Paint
- Painter's tape
- Paint brushes and foam brushes
- Paint Roller
- Sand Paper
- Paint tray
- Disposable gloves

This project starts with a front door make over! That is a great way to give your front door a pop with red paint. Thoroughly wipe down the door and start taping off hardware. For this red, she used 2 coats of paint and let dry in between each coat.

Now it is time for the storm door make over. Thoroughly clean off all debris and dirt. Her previous door was in gloss white. You will want to lightly sand to roughen the surface, to make the paint adhere better. Wipe off any dust.

Tape off all edges and moving parts, such as a screen. Her door has a screen-away screen.

Using a foam brush, paint all the corners and trim first.

Next, use a paint roller for the bigger areas to ensure a smooth finish.

It is best to apply 2 coats allowing the first coat to dry before applying the second coat.

What a transformation a paint makeover can do. Adding a switch of color even enhances the power of the red door! Her door screams, "hey I am your fun neighbor. It is time for a block party!"
