Replacing a Section of Wood Floor

1. Cut holes across the center and ends with a spade bit.

2. Split board with chisel as shown. |
3. Place pry board into split and remove the damaged board. |

4. Remove remaining nails. |
5. Place grove of new board into tongue of adjacent boards.

For the last board, turn it over and cut or chisel lower part of groove
out. See above how boards will interlock Blind-nail through the tongue
for all but the last board. |

7. Place glue on the subfloor, half-grove, and tongue. Tap board into place with a hammer and block as shown above.. |
