Repel lawn-destroying moles and gophers without the use of chemicals or poisons with the Sweeney's Sonic Spike. Nontoxic and easy to use, the Sonic Spike is ideal for households with children and pets. Sweeney's Sonic Spike The Sonic Spike emits a sonic pulse every 30 seconds. Send Moles and Gophers Scurrying
The spike works by emitting a sonic pulse that penetrates the soil every 30 seconds. The pulse produces a sound that's highly irritating to moles and gophers, which are exceptionally sensitive to sound and vibrations. In response, the rodents scurry away to avoid the noise. Leave the Sonic Spike in the ground to repel new generations of pests, and then remove the spike when flooding is predicted or before the ground freezes. Easy to Activate
To use, make a pilot hole in the ground with a wooden or steel rod, then insert the Sonic Spike into the soil so the cap is flush with the ground. It's important to keep the cap flush so you don't hit it with your lawnmower or create a tripping hazard. The effectiveness of the product depends largely upon soil type. Moist clay is the best sound conductor, whereas dry, sandy, or peat soil does not conduct sonic waves as easily. For best results, use the Sonic Spike continuously for 7 to 14 days.
The Sonic Spike comes equipped with a convenient, removable battery sleeve for trouble-free battery replacement. The Sonic Spike--which treats up to 7,500 square feet--runs for four to six months on three D-cell alkaline batteries. The unit carries a five-year warranty. What's in the Box
