Description
The standard Century precast concrete splash blocks are designed to be placed under gutter down spouts to disperse and direct storm water in a manner to prevent erosion and ponding of water. The concrete splash blocks prevent erosion of the soil adjacent to your foundation and landscaping. Preventing erosion of soil adjacent to the foundation protects against ponding of water which can cause water damage to basement ceilings, walls and crawl spaces.
Erosion of soil around foundation slabs and piers which support structures can cause settlement thus causing a wide array of damage including cracked slabs, walls and ceilings.
The splash blocks also prevent erosion of bark and soil from around grass, shrubs and other landscape items.
