If you have kids, then you probably have had a juice or Kool-Aid stain on your carpet once or twice. Here are some helpful tips when it comes to removing Kool-Aid or a bright colored drink from your carpet. First, you will want to blot the stain with a dry towel. Do not rub or smear it any further. Then spray on a mixture of white vinegar, Dawn dish soap, and water. Spray area to saturate and let stand for 5-10 minutes. Then continue with a clean, dry towel with blotting until the stain is removed.

Another common stain that most people with pets will get on their carpets is pet stains. You will first want to make sure that the type of stain remover you may use on the spot is ammonia free. You want to make sure to dissolve of the odor, so that your pet does not re-offend the area again in the future. The solution you can use to remove the stain and the odor is a mixture of ½ white vinegar and ½ warm water. Allow for this mixture to soak for several minutes. When the area is almost dry, sprinkle baking soda all around the area. Then add to the spot, a half cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide with a teaspoon of a mild detergent. Work the mixture into the baking soda, allow to dry and vacuum thoroughly!

Coffee stains can leave your carpet looking dirty in spots if left untreated or not treated properly. Right when you get a coffee spill on the carpet, you will want to blot the spot with a dry cloth so that you dry the spot. You want to make sure you do not spread the spill and switching out cloths once it becomes too saturated.
