Repairing a Creaking Stairway from Below

1. Use wood blocks to tighten joints. Screw and glue to both treads and risers.

 

2. If entire tread is loose Screw 3 or 4 metal angle brackets to the riser.

3. If wedges are lose, remove and replace them.
